OK, I will admit it...when I first got this camera in the mail (I ordered a like-new used model here on Amazon), I was horrified. The camera is small and incredibly light weight. I thought I had foreign made plastic junk in my hands. So, if you are buying this camera to look impressive to someone else, well, you might consider another item. :) Ha! My mind quickly changed.I put this camera through some tests by taking it on a field trip to the Chicago area museums with my students. I could easily carry it and easily stuff it in my pants pocket when not using it. (yes, it is that small). At first, I thought the camera would easily break, but it seems to be fairly sturdy (I didn't use any case with it).
